Studio Policies:

Registration, Payment & Refunds

Registration: There is an annual one time $10.00 Registration Fee that helps pay for the costs of all the paperwork sent

to the student throughout the year.  CBTA runs the class sizes smaller to teach more effectively and to prevent injury.

Class sizes are limited-registration guarantees a students place in class.   Pre-existing students will have a set registration

at the beginning of each season insure their spot in class.  If you miss this registration you will have to be registered by or

on the ‘New student’ Registrations (usually a week later) to hold a spot in class.

Payment: Tuition is based on 12 week Seasons, Fall/Winter/Spring.  Paying at the (Seasonal Rate) will save you money

if you are planning on taking most of the season.  Payments are due at the start of each season or by the 8th of each month

if paying by the month (single rate).

Refunds: Refunds that are asked while classes are in session for that season will be reimbursed for the unused portion of a

student’s tuition.  However, the tuition will be given back at the single rate not the season rate.  All performance fees will apply

if due on or after request for refund.  We do not give refunds for missed classes or anytime the student chooses not to attend

rehearsals and/or is asked not to perform because of to many missed classes.  CHECK RETURN FEE: $20.00

Student and Parent information

Dress Code:  Dress codes are designed to encourage unity, simplicity, and discipline among students.  Students not meeting

the dress code will be asked to observe class.   Ballet : Girls should always wear basic ballet attire; Leotard, tights and a spilt

sole ballet slipper with hair in a tight bun, there is no exception to this rule.  Skirts can be worn but only in centre.  Boys need

to wear black jazz pants with white t-shirt and socks with black or white ballet slipper.  ALL LEVELS are required to have full

footed pink tights for performances.  Classical Division Classes: must have a black sleeveless leotard and black skirt, for parent

nights and performances.  Pre levels and lower are asked to have a pink leotard as the class color.

Theater and Drama: Comfortable pants and shirt (no Skirts!) Please no tank tops and short shorts.  Classes are required to buy

a black jazz shoe or soft shoe to wear when professional flooring is laid in studio.  (Students may also choose to buy a canvas

shoe to leave at the studio)

Advancement:
Dancers and Performers in CBTA will be placed with care and consideration at all levels of training.  It is normal to spend more

than a year in each level and students should not expect to advance every year. If they are promoted too soon, he/she will miss

some very fundamental training. This may cause unnecessary struggle in the next level and could even be dangerous to the student.

Advancement in CBTA will always be decided with the student’s best interest and growth in mind.

Performance Opportunities:

CBTA presents a show in the Fall and a major play in the Spring during the school year. All Students participating in these shows
will be made up of at least one piece presented by the dance program and auditions held by the acting studio for any and all
speaking parts. Anyone participating must be signed up in a CBTA program, must not miss more than 3 classes two months prior
to a show and be current on all dues.

Cancellation of classes:

Classes will always run as scheduled unless a call is made or students are notified such as for holiday’s like (thanksgiving, winter
and summer breaks). If there are winter weather conditions that are causing dangerous driving, students and/or parents will be
called. Please call if you have any questions.

Absences & Late Policies:

Not having disruptions in class are valuable to students. Once class has started, being late disrupts class and causes distraction in
the entire lesson. If a student is late please have them dressed and ready to jump right in and enter the studios quietly and quickly.
If students miss classes they fall behind. Students in these art forms need self confidence to not only perform but to feel apart of
the class. To ensure your child has every opportunity to grow have him/her in there classes each week.

Observation of Class
:
Several formal ‘Parents’ nights will be scheduled to give parents a chance to watch their child in class.  At these times, parents are
invited inside the classroom during scheduled class times to observe what their child has been learning.  At any other time, parents
are to drop off and pick up students in parking lot.  When entering waiting room to pick up or drop off your child please do not disrupt
any classes that might be in session.
